We are looking for a Project Manager to join our incredible team. Established in 2000, we have since grown to become one of the travel industry’s major suppliers of passenger messaging solutions. More than 50 airlines, rail and travel management companies use our communications platform - so while you may not have heard of 15below directly, you've more than likely received a boarding pass, eTicket or flight-change notification that was sent via our platform.

With your knowledge and expertise, you will be helping 15below to achieve its position as the world’s leading supplier of traveller communications.

The role

As Project Manager, you are responsible for the successful delivery of software projects to our international client base. 

Providing effective project management including:

  • Managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Facilitating the clarification and communication of project requirements, objectives and priorities.
  • Ensure a successful delivery by working together with the customer Project Manager and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct estimation and planning workshops.
  • Creating and managing overall project plans, maintaining a backlog of prioritised user stories, release and sprint plans.
  • Managing the project scope and budget, aligned to commercial agreements.
  • Managing changes to scope/requirements and reporting project status to customers and 15below stakeholders.
  • Engaging problem-solving skills to identify risk and issues, take mitigating actions and remove project obstacles.
  • Creating and maintaining relevant project documentation to ensure appropriate audit trails exist.
  • Ensuring sustainable product design and implementation in line with best practice, relevant standards and technological developments by facilitating cross-team collaboration.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative software that truly delivers business value.
  • Coordinating the transition to Support from the Project team following successful project delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining product support documentation including administrative, technical, and end-user system documentation.
  • Escalating project issues appropriately.
  • Performing end of project reviews capturing and applying the learning.
  • Providing feedback on the performance of developers to the relevant Development Team Leads.
  • Motivating project members to deliver against the stated objectives.

Skills we want

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in customer software/IT solution project management.
  • Proven track record of managing and implementing software projects.
  • Recognised Project Management Qualification (PRINCE II, Agile Project Management).
  • Experience in an agile environment preferably SCRUM.
  • Excellent English and communication skills, and the ability to build consensus amongst all stakeholders.
  • Budget management.
  • Strong leadership and scope negotiation skills. 

Skills to impress

  • Airline/travel industry experience including reservation systems/GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre or Navitaire).
  • BSc/BA in a business or technical discipline or equivalent.
  • Certified SCRUM Master.
  • Experience working with third-party APIs and web service interfaces.
  • Experience of messaging systems.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience with Change Management processes.
  • International experience and Mobility.
