China Airlines chooses 15below to deliver personalised passenger notifications

Passenger communications specialist 15below has announced China Airlines has become the latest major airline to use its industry-leading notifications platform.

China Airlines, which carries more than 15 million passengers annually, will use 15below’s passenger communications platform to send personalised, real-time notifications to inform and empower its customers at every stage of their journey.

15below, which works with more than 50 of the world’s top airlines including Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa and British Airways, will implement its Disruption, Queue Manager and Itineraries & Receipts solutions to allow China Airlines to deliver exceptional customer experiences while enjoying significant operational benefits.

Nicholas Key, Chief Executive Officer at 15below, says: “We are delighted to welcome China Airlines to our customer community, which already includes many of the world’s largest and most innovative travel brands.

“As an airline that shares our commitment to making journeys as easy and enjoyable as possible for all travellers, China Airlines is an ideal partner for us.

“Our disruption notifications will allow China Airlines to keep its passengers informed when things go wrong, proving that brilliant communications can leave customers with a positive impression of an airline even in the most difficult circumstances.”

The 15below solution is designed to significantly reduce the pressure placed on the airline’s ground staff and contact centre, as more passengers are able to effectively self-serve by selecting from the options available to them – such as re-booking and refunds – at the touch of a button.

China Airlines will also use the 15below platform to send personalised booking confirmations and receipts via multiple channels, including email and SMS. These will be tailored to each booking and designed to maximise the potential of what is often an airline’s first touchpoint with customers.

Nicholas adds: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for both us and China Airlines and we are looking forward to seeing how the 15below platform transforms the experience of flying with one of Asia’s most popular and progressive carriers.”

China Airlines is the parent company of Tigerair Taiwan, which has used 15below’s Disruption solution since 2016 to inform, advise and resolve issues when its flight schedules are disrupted.
